There is a lot of fear surrounding many folks perception of yoga. Fear of looking weird, fear of not being good at it, fear of not being able to do it, or fear of the unknown. I am here to tell you that yoga is for everyone and there is nothing to be afraid of. Saying it for the people in the back. There is no one right or perfect way to practice yoga, there is only your journey and your commitment to the practice.
Many people who do practice regularly become increasingly flexible and are able to do poses that look intimidating. Just like any good thing it life, these poses take time and nurturing in order to achieve. And that is OKAY. The practice is meant to achieve whatever you are needing from it. Flexibility, relaxation, strength, mind body connection, stress relief, there is a practice that is for you that can help you achieve what you are looking for.
Everyone starts as a beginner. The best thing about yoga, is you really only need yourself to show up. You don't need any equipment or a gym to have a fulfilling practice. It is one of the most inexpensive ways to invest in yourself and your personal health and wellness. We all need a little more self care and respect for our own mind and body. Can I get an AMEN!
